Sing to Me, Chickadee! invites you on a melodic journey through the seasons, where twelve wondrous songbirds sing their way through the year with a chorus of silliness from trees and meadows—and maybe even your own backyard.
Stunning photography and playful collage art combine to delight children and bird lovers, while interactive activities extend the curiosity long after the story is done.

Listen and Observe Backyard Birds
Birds are all around. Sometimes we'll hear them, sometimes we'll see them, and sometimes they are hard to find.
Identify birds near you
Download the Merlin Bird ID app by Cornell University. You can identify birds in real time by sound or by taking pictures of birds you see.
You can also listen to birds that are likely in the area, along with beautiful images, to make spotting them easier and more fun.
Even if you don't see birds in your area, you can still listen and learn all about them!
For a fun and relaxing activity for all ages, visit the Cornell Bird Cam to see live footage of birds feasting on a variety of bird feeders. You can watch it live or look at video highlights of the feeders here.
